Internet video being the bottomless technical quagmire that it is, a few words of explanation are in order to sucessfully navigate these treacherous waters:

The following clips were originally captured in 1920X1080 HD video, down rezzed considerably for reasonable internet bandwidth, and optimized for playback in most modern internet browsers.

They can also be downloaded for playback on an iphone or ipod touch via itunes (ya'll already have all this stuff, right?).

To be exact, the technical specification is as follows:

• mpeg-4 format (.m4v file extension)
• 480X270 pixel resolution
• 16:9 aspect ratio
• H.264 video codec
• 700 Kbps bitrate
• baseline profile double pass encoding

Quicktime 7 is required, and as with all QT content, you can double click in a video viewing panel to start playback and single click to stop it.

Obviously, a high bandwidth internet connection is desired for this kind of content, but if you are on a low bandwidth dailup service, you will have already noticed this page is misbehaving by now.
